Betaspring alum StudyEgg is West Coast bound! StudyEgg CEO Josh Silverman will take the stage as part of LAUNCH Edu and join a very cool line-up of companies selected by LAUNCH to showcase how technology is improving education and changing the way we learn. LAUNCH is hosting the two-day conference at Microsoft's campus in Mountain View on June 12-13.
StudyEgg (Summer '11) adds an assessment layer on top of the content students are already consuming: Khan Academy videos, MIT OpenCourseWare, TED Ed videos, and more! The StudyEgg platform measures mulitple data points to determine how well you are understanding and retaining the information in those resources. They use this data to organize and prioritize each lesson based on what you may need more help with. StudyEgg then can provide additional optimized resources specifically for you, taking full advantage of the latest memory techniques, to help students master that material. StudyEgg currently is focuses on science based classes but plans to expanding to other subjects in the near future.
In the spirit of awesomeness that it LAUNCH, StudyEgg will unveil a new feature at the June event. Previously, students would answer a question and then be prompted with a video explaining the correct answer. The new and improved version will quiz students throughout the video--a very cool expansion of the platform and awesome signal of all the great things to come from our friends at StudyEgg.
